Maciej Pawlak

Mr. Maciej Pawlak is Consultant Abdominal Wall Surgeon at the Golden Jubilee National University Hospital and Senior Lecturer at the University of Glasgow. He is one of the UK’s leading experts in complex hernia and abdominal wall reconstruction surgery. Holding a PhD in Surgical Sciences, he is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England and the European Board of Surgery in Abdominal Wall Surgery (FEBS-AWS). 
A former board member of the European Hernia Society, Mr. Pawlak has led international guideline development and collaborates with the British Hernia Society to advance robotic-assisted hernia repair and national standards for abdominal wall reconstruction. He is deeply involved in education and research, leading workshops and supervising postgraduate students. He has published widely and provides advanced minimally invasive and robotic-assisted hernia care at Ross Hall Hospital, Glasgow.
